We worked with the XFL marketing and creative teams on creative services and production. First, we needed to quickly get the startup sports league up to speed with their creative resources and processes for kick off. We researched and negotiated their stock account, set up guidance on archiving and file naming, and consulted them on hiring photo staff.
The XFL Uniform Reveal campaign for the eight-team league would give a look at each team's uniform and helmet designs for the 2020 season. XFL collaborated with production company, Phoenix Media on the production of the one-day photo and video shoot at Highline Stages. GVO was hired by XFL to line produce and art direct. We coordinated on-set needs including streamlining workflows between the three sets, aligning digital techs and facilitating communication between XFL and Phoenix Media. We art directed the home uniforms shoot with photographer, Laura Thompson. In post-production, GVO managed the communication and workflow between the XFL Marketing and Creative teams and Phoenix Media. Setting timelines, facilitating cross team calls, and quality controlled the retouched assets to ensure the final deliverables were completed on-time and were on-brand.
